The insulin spike and crash after lunch is a common occurrence with people these days.
The reason?

When daily movement is low, your body reduces its power to control insulin levels, and glucose uptake. (Utilisation of sugar)
Itās no wonder in this day and age that 2 million Australians are pre-diabetic and over a 1 million have attained diabetes..
A recent study where they put a healthy young males arm in a cast for 3 days showed that there glucose uptake was reduced by 38% after 24hours and then 57% after 48hours! No wonder blood sugar control is such a big concern, and chronic diseases are on the rise.š©ø
It was even shown active gym people who did not move the rest of the day were still at high risk of developing metabolic diseases. šš»āāļø
Next time you go to binge watch netflix all day, enjoying a few glasses of wine. Just ask yourself first. š·

A good way to get your steps in is, park further away from wherever you have to go. š
A 10 minute walk after every meal to control blood sugar. š¶š»āāļø
Walking also improves mental health. Double win.š§š»
These things add up and youāll feel it, especially after that lunch time binge on food.
Implementing a quick 10minute walk after food might just save your life down the track, also improve your relationships by doing it with your partners.
